SUNDAY SERVICES
Services of Worship are held each Sunday at 11 am and 6 pm.
A Service is also held on the third Sunday of the month at 2.30 pm in Crossmyloof
Resource Centre, Titwood Road.
Arrangements for baptisms, weddings and funeral should be discussed with the
Minister, Rev. Malcolm Duff
BAPTISM
Baptism
is usually carried out during Sunday morning service - witnessed by the
congregation present.
The Sacrament may be administered privately in certain circumstances.
In any case, arrangements must be made well beforehand with the Minister
COMMUNION
Formal Communion is celebrated at the Morning Service on the first Sunday of February, June, September and November.
Informal Services of Communion are celebrated at Evening Services in intervening months.
PRAYER
Prayer forms an integral and vital part of our congregational life. In addition to formal prayer times we have a prayer chain operating by telephone and e-mail. Formal prayer times are :-
Tuesday 11.30 am
Wednesday 7.15 pm
Sunday 10.45 am
All this is organised by the Prayer Team under its leader, Mrs Ruby Smith
BIBLE STUDY
God’s Word is at the heart of our worship. Scripture Union Daily Bread Bible Reading Notes are available to the congregation on a quarterly basis. Daily Bible reading references are printed each month in the church magazine. The New International Version of the Bible is used in Services. Pew Bibles are available for all to use.
There are also two opportunities each week to join in studying the Bible in small groups. One group meets at 8 pm on Wednesdays and the other one at 1 pm on Thursdays. Contemporary study books are used in each group.
Reading Notes ands Bible Study are organised by the Education Team whose leader is Mr. Malcolm MacSween
PRAISE
Sung praise is from CH3, CH4, Mission Praise, Junior Praise and other sources. Hymn books for most are available. The words are also projected on screen to aid congregational singing
CHOIR
Choral items are from a variety of sources and there is an anthem sung by the Choir at Morning Services.
The four sections of the Choir meet each week on Thursdays at 7.30 pm. The Organist, Choir Mistress and Musical Director is Mrs. Lynn Gibb
MUSIC
The normal musical part of worship is provided by piano and electronic Allen organ.
However, a variety of musical talents are evident in the Praise Band which leads the musical side of worship regularly throughout the year—keyboards, guitars, drums, violins, saxophones, mouth organ
